TAKE THE 3-MINUTE QUIZ

Web Design Inspiration

Hi Skillcrushers,

We wanted to share a list of fun places you can go to find design inspiration for your web projects and beyond:

http://dribbble.com

http://www.siteinspire.com/

http://onepagelove.com/

 http://www.premiumpixels.com/

http://designmodo.com/

http://www.pixeden.com/

What we recommend is seeing if you can find someone you like, click through to their portfolio and see if you can find some live sites that they have designed.

Want to see what folks have designed after taking the exact same class you’re taking right now? Check out these 3 sites from our former Skillcrush 101 students!

Like?? Don’t forget… you can use your Firebug to peek at their code and see how they did what they did! :)

Basics of Web Design PDF

If you’re interested in learning about the Basics of Web Design, be sure to check out our 34-page PDF. It’ll get you up to speed on everything you need to know. The Basics of Web Design PDF provides you with the building blocks that you need to start designing for the web. We walk you through the six-part design process that we follow, teach you about color theory and typography, walk you through creating your assets and prepping them for the web and suggest shortcuts and tools you’ll need every step of the way. We’ve also gathered all the best resources in one place and provide guidance and advice for everything from combating designer’s block to choosing the right color palettes. All this in a beautifully designed, easy-to-use document that even has checklists! :) Web Design is a separate discipline and therefore, not in the scope of this class. This PDF is not a required purchase for you but instead is provided incase you’d like to continue your education after this class by beginning to learn about web design.

Enjoy being inspired!. :)

Take care,
