Say goodbye to the 9-to-5. Learn the steps you can take TODAY to get a remote job.

One of the things I like most about tech is that there are so many options out there for the kinds of work you can do. If you’re anything like me, having variety in your work is important. I haven’t worked for just one company at a time for almost ten years now. I freelance, I have a side business, and I work part time for Skillcrush.

I know, that kind of work setup sounds cray to some people, but for me, knowing that I have multiple streams of income is comforting! I’m never worried about “what if I lose my job?” because I don’t have just one job.

Tech is so well-suited to part-time and long-term freelance work, even when you work remotely. You can pair up multiple part-time jobs to work full-time, or just take a part-time job while you pursue other things on the side. The best part? A lot of tech jobs pay so well that your part-time developer job might pay just as much (or more!) than your admin assistant job paid before!

Read on to see twenty awesome part-time and freelance remote jobs available now. They cover the spectrum from developer jobs to digital marketing positions (knowing basic tech and design skills makes you a way better candidate for those jobs than someone who has no hard tech skills!) and customer support reps. I’m not sure exactly why but this blog is loading incredibly slow for me. Is anyone else having this issue or is it a problem on my end? I’ll check back later and see if the problem still exists.

Thanks for sharing this on LinkedIn, but many of these listings are expired and no longer open?

Regular part jobs are just what I’m looking for! I have been waffling about starting a Blue Print with Skillcrush, because I’m afraid I won’t be able to find flexible part time jobs (other than freelance) once I’m ready to apply. Thanks for this post!

There are definitely a lot of flexible and remote part-time jobs out there. A lot of us here at Skillcrush are part-time (including me!) or started out part-time before going to full-time positions.

I can see that most of the openings here are for someone with experience. Most of the positions I see here requires experience not much for entry level. I am still enrolled in my web dev blueprint hopefully I will be able to finish it by next month but I am already browsing though the openings that skillcrush sends every now and then just to get an idea what skills companies are looking for.
